Holiday Trunk Show & Sample Sale
Elyse and I are hosting a holiday trunk show. We’ll be selling pieces from our previous and current collections to make room for the new goodies we’ll be making for 2011. The location is in Brooklyn but the actual address is private. RSVP be.decadent@gmail.com to be notified of the venue a few days before the show.
Hope to see you there!

In-store launch at Johntines Boutique!
A few weeks ago I met an amazing boutique owner in my neighborhood and after a few weeks of debating I’ll be putting a few of my pieces in the store. I’ll be doing a feature on Tia Jackson, the owner, this week. This is just the pre-warm up to the warm-up because I’m having a huge year end sale at the Decadent Headquarters Dec 18th and 19th. Come out and support, I’ll be...

Ms. Sullivan
If there was one celebrity who I’d want to wear my clothes it would have to be Jazmine Sullivan. Her frame and height remind of a young Phylis Hyman. A statuesque glamazon. Those sequin pants are giving me so much life and that pink leopard top she’s wearing is the same exact material that I used for the Def Leopard leggings earlier this year. If that I aint a sign…I need...

Keeping it Real
Faux Beaver Pillbox hat & cape
A long time ago I got into a petty teenage argument with my father. I can’t remember what started it but from what I do remember it ended with an hour long lecture from my dad about ‘Keeping it Real’. Now this was well over 10 years ago when ‘keeping it real’ wasn’t an overdone cliche and actually had some significance...

Slow & Steady Wins the Race
I want to be known as a designer who not only creates gorgeous designs but places emphasis on quality and worksmanship of the highest level. For that reason I will not be selling at the Indie+ Trunk show this weekend. I will be showing my new fall/winter collection on the runway tomorrow night but I’ve decided to hold off on selling right away but don’t be discouraged - I will be...

Plus Model Radio Interview with Chenese Lewis →
Chenese was an amazing interviewer and she did a great job of coaching me through the interview. We kind of had a rough start but by the end of my segment I felt really comfortable. Listen all the way to the end to hear Wilbur Pack’s interview where he talks about his new plus sized line SK Wilbur - he did a great job. Luv ya, Wilbur! <3

Behind the scenes + Fall/Winter preview
Yesterday I had the honor to work with the greatest team of creative souls ever. We shot on location at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn for the Fall/Winter 2010 collection and I must say, it’s our best work to date. Elyse acted as photographer and stylist, Crystal killed as our MUA, Leora and Nik modeled the pieces and I acted as assistant stylist and dresser. The official pictures from the...

Meet Jeffrey
Elyse and I frequent an amazing fabric and notions store on Broadway by the name of Jem. Jem is truly a GEM. They have the best selections of trims, fur, fabric and every odd and end you can imagine. The only thing that rivals Jem’s awesome selection is their lovely shop staff. Meet Jeffrey

Halloween
Disclaimer: my little point and shoot camera is a certified piece of crap that I’m blessed to have. (had to add that last bit, just in case. Yanno, Murphys Law and all)
Saturday night I was blessed enough to get tickets for Huny’s MostBeautifullest Halloween Party (In This World). The venue was intimate, the crowd was decked out and the drinks were friggin awesome. I had a blast...
